Van Trips and Carpool Trips
Wednesday, April 3rd: Trip to the Fashion Archives and Museum of Shippensburg University “The Fashions of Fiction from Pamela and Gatsby” & Lunch at CJ’s. We will be leaving the Senior Center at 9:45 a.m. for Shippensburg University for a 10:30 a.m. tour. Cost is $5 per person plus lunch on your own. Deadline to sign up is Friday, March 29th.
Tuesday, April 9th: Sight & Sound presents “Noah @ AMC Camp Hill Theater. Travel with Noah as he fulfills God’s command, even amidst seemingly impossible odds and the scrutiny of onlookers. Experience this extraordinary Bible story as it comes to life in jaw-dropping scale as Noah leads live animals inside the Ark—with seats towering four stories above the stage! Filmed before a live audience, escape the treacherous flood with your family as you become immersed in this incredible production. This exclusive stage-to-screen produc-tion includes a behind-the-scenes look at the amazing history of Sight & Sound Theatres, their locations and stage shows, seen by more than 25 million visitors from around the world! We will be leaving the Big Spring Senior Center at 1:00 p.m. for the 2:30 screen production. Cost of the ticket is $12.50 (the Senior Center has secured 15 tickets) plus $5 member rate/$10 non-member rate for transportation. Tickets are first come/first serve, so come to the Senior Center as soon as possible and sign up.
Friday, April 12th: West Shore Farmers’ Market & Lunch on your own. We will leave the Senior Center at 9:00 a.m. for a morning on your own at the West Shore Farmers’ Market. Lunch can be either purchased at the Farmers’ Market or the group will elect to go elsewhere. Afterwards, the group will venture to the Commu-nity Aid Store (the Senior Center will provide $25 gift cards towards purchases). Cost for this day is $10 mem-ber rate/ $15 non-member rate for roundtrip transportation. Deadline to sign up is Wednesday, April 10th.
Tuesday, April 23rd: Star Barn & Lincoln Railroad Car Tour, Elizabethtown, PA—Abraham Lincoln’s Funeral Train passed through Stone Gables Estate on April 22, 1865. Join us for the First Re-Enactment at the 154th Year Anniversary Honoring One of America’s Greatest Presidents and Heroes. General Admission with added pre-scheduled walk-thru of Lincoln Funeral Car (full-scale replica) & 1860 Passenger Car is $23 Seniors. In addition, we will be collecting $20/member & $25/non-member roundtrip travel/parking. This will be a once-in-a lifetime experience. There is so much original and period correctness to this tour that it is a must see. We have only ordered 11 tickets for this event so it is first come, first serve. We will leave the Senior Center at 9:00 a.m. Food and gift items will be available to purchase at the event.
VAN TRIP PAYMENT POLICY
A 50% deposit of the cost of the trip is due when you sign up. Payment in full is due two weeks before the date of the trip. If you must cancel, please get someone to go in your place; your deposit will not be returned. If we cancel the trip, you will be entirely reimbursed.
